I love fashion and I love meaningful causes so when the two meet it's a good day. Yesterday was denim day. For those of you who don't know what that is I'm here to tell you. Denim day is a symbol of protest against sexual violence. In Italy years ago a rape conviction was overturned because the justices felt since the victim was wearing tight fitting jeans she must have helped the attacker in removing them which means it had to be her consenting. The next day women of the Parliament went to work wearing jeans to protest. Today America wears denim as a symbol of protest for all sexual violence and to educate the community of the legal definition of consent. I hope you wore denim too!
